Herbalife® Scores Big with the Los Angeles Galaxy


Herbalife extends its "Presenting Sponsor of the Los Angles Galaxy" status with an exciting five-year agreement with AEG. Look for the Herbalife name front-and-center on the team´s jerseys starting this season!

"The national and international appeal of soccer and of the Los Angeles Galaxy club in particular, is a natural fit for our global philosophy of promoting a healthy, active lifestyle," said Herbalife CEO Michael O. Johnson. "We have had tremendous success partnering with many AEGowned properties in our effort to build our brand image and allow our independent Distributors increased access to new customers."

"The high caliber of play as well as the acquisition of international players has truly raised the interest and visibility of MLS in the United States and worldwide," said Timothy J. Leiweke, President & CEO, AEG. "We`ve had the opportunity to work with Herbalife since 2005 and no other company activates a sponsorship as well as they do."

The Herbalife name will appear on all official team wear, replica jerseys and other select team merchandise. Herbalife is also the official sponsor of all international and exhibition games, garnering bigger and better media exposure–from television commercials and radio spots to Web content.

Herbalife a Hit at the Italian Beach Volleyball Championship


Herbalife served up a win as an official sponsor of the Italian Beach Volleyball Championship. Enthusiastic spectators filled the beach for all 10 legs of the 2006 tour. Herbalife-sponsored athletes Daniela Gattelli and Lucilla Perrotta, were a powerful team, winning the Italian Championship final held in Rome on August 12-13. Gattelli and Perrotta are two of Italy`s premier beach volleyball players and will be participating in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. There were also 14 Herbalife Distributors participating in each leg of the event.

The Herbalife Booth generated a great amount of excitement. Distributors handed out Liftoff™ samples and talked about the many nutritional benefits of this new effervescent energy drink powered by Herbalife. Liftoff™ was without question the most popular energy drink of the tour!

Based upon results from last year`s event, the Italian Series Championship was expected to reach over 14 million viewers through national TV, radio and print coverage.

Herbalife Triumphant at the Blenheim Triathlon 2006


Herbalife was proud to be the Official Nutrition Sponsor of the 2nd annual Blenheim Triathlon. The May 20-21, 2006, event consisted of a swim, bike and run around the grounds of Blenheim Palace in Oxford, UK. The beautiful and historic venue makes this triathlon one of the most scenic in the world.

Over 3,000 people participated in the two-day triathlon including over forty Herbalife Distributors and staff. Herbalife-sponsored triathlete Olly Freeman was Men`s Elite Champion, adding another title to his already impressive list. The victory was particularly remarkable for Olly, considering he has only recently made the jump from Junior to Elite competition and is now preparing for the 2008 Olympics.

The Herbalife stand was busy all weekend as 2,000 Liftoff™ samples, 1,400 giveaway bags and over 5,000 Protein Bar samples were distributed to the crowds. The event attracted significant regional and national media coverage with a full length feature piece broadcast on British national television. In addition to an interview of Olly, the program also featured four Team Herbalife members who had strong finishing times as well. It was, in every way, a winning day for Herbalife!

Herbalife Sets the Pace at the Sport City 10K Run in Mexico


Herbalife was the official nutrition sponsor of the Sport City 10K run, part of the Emociôn Deportiva Circuit presented by HSBC. The June 4, 2006, event was held at the Olympic Stadium in Mexico City and attracted almost 6,000 spectators. Over 2,400 people participated in the race, among them 15 Herbalife Distributors.

After the race, almost all of the competitors enjoyed a shake or tea sample in the recovery zone. Nearly 3,000 samples of Formula 1, Herbal Concentrate and NRG were distributed to the crowds at the race and expo. Fans in attendance also received leaflets with company information, a Herbalife teaser brochure, as well as Herbalife musette bags and t-shirts.

The Herbalife logo was on display at the starting line, finish line, booths and banners. There was also extensive media coverage from both local radio stations and newspapers.

Herbalife Golden at the 2006 Junior Triathlon European Championship


Herbalife-sponsored triathlete Anais Moniz won the Gold medal for Portugal at the 2006 Junior Triathlon European Championship held on June 23, 2006. She competed against 39 other athletes at the ancient Roman Theatre in Autun, France. Seventeen was the magic number as Moniz, just 17, prevailed by 17 seconds over the second place finisher.

This is the second major victory Moniz has achieved in less than a year. In September 2005, she surprised the world with her triumph at the World Junior Triathlon Championship in Japan. This resulted in a nomination by the Portuguese Sport Associated Press as "Promising Athlete of the Year." At the age of 17, she is now both European and World Junior Triathlon Champion and Herbalife is proud to sponsor this young champion.

Herbalife-Sponsored French Basketball Champs Shoot for 2nd Title


Herbalife was an official sponsor of Strasbourg (SIG), the 2005 French Basketball League Champions, who qualified for the 2006 playoffs in June. A premier Euroleague team, the SIG will be competing to win their second consecutive title. They made the playoffs with a dramatic win in their regular-season ending game.

Herbalife made as strong showing as well, with Herbalife flags and banners streaming throughout the arena. Distributors handed out Herbalife flyers to the thousands in attendance. French singing sensation Pascal Vecca and hip hop dancers, sporting the Herbalife logo, gave an exciting halftime performance as Herbalife videos played on giant screens.

Herbalife Reaches for the Sky at the KBS SKY Marathon in Korea


Herbalife was proud to be the title sponsor of the first KBS SKY Marathon, held on Sunday, June 4, 2006, in Yang Joo City, Korea. The event was organized by KBS SKY, a major sports channel in Korea, and a subsidiary of the Korean Broadcasting System. The KBS SKY Marathon is one of the most popular sports in Korea, as highlighted by the strong turnout. Three thousand participants, including 1,000 Herbalife Distributors, battled the summer heat to run. The three main courses consisted of the 5K Herbalife course, the 10K ShapeWorks™ course, and the NiteWorks® Half course.

All participants received Herbalife products, with winners receiving special gift packs. Team Herbalife ran strong. The second place winner of the 5K course was Herbalife distributor HyeRan Jung. Joe Wojcik, Vice President South East Asia Regional Planning, finished in the top 5% of all runners.

The Herbalife booth was busy all day long as 1,600 shake samples, more than 1,800 tea samples and 2,200 NiteWorks® samples were enjoyed by the enthusiastic fans.

Herbalife Nets Partnership with Volleyball Pro Miwa Asao


Herbalife is excited to announce the signing of a three-year partnership with Japanese professional volleyball player Miwa Asao. Asao ranked No. 11 in Japan for the 2005 season and is ranked No. 3 in the 2006 Asia U-20 Beach Volleyball Championships. She finished third at the Tokyo Open in May 2005.

Asao wears the Herbalife logo on her uniform at all events, and uses Herbalife products, including Formula 1 shakes, Liftoff™ tablets and Nourifusion® skincare.

Asao is one of the most visible female athletes in Japan, having appeared in nationwide TV programs, as well as national newspapers and magazines. Asao, who also competes internationally, is planning to participate in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Team Herbalife meets the Challenge At the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge, Frankfurt, Germany


Fifty-two Herbalife Germany employees participated in "the largest footrace in the world," the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge in Frankfurt, Germany. On June 1, 2006, Herbalife`s twenty-two runners and thirty fans sported bright orange Liftoff™ T-shirts that clearly stood out even in the crowd of 62,390 runners.

The announcer rocked the crowd at start of the race, shouting a few words about Liftoff™, which was heard by runners and the media. What a great promotion for Germany`s new product!

The 30-year-old, 3.5-mile JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge series features events on five continents and six countries. Participants in the Frankfurt race came from more than 250 cities and towns in Germany. Runners raced through the city`s busiest streets and enjoyed pre- and post-race activities at the spectacular Opernplatz.

Over fifty journalists from television and print media covered the event, reaching an audience of over 200 million. During the registration period alone, the German website for the Corporate Challenge (www.jpmccc.de) generated over 1.2 million hits.

Next year, the event promises to be even bigger. Herbalife Germany`s goal for 2007 is a team position among the top 50. Go Team Herbalife!

Herbalife Sponsors International Fitness Festival


.Herbalife was an official sponsor of the 18th Fitness Festival, one of the largest, most important fitness events in the world. Held May 24-28 for the first time in beautiful Florence, Italy, the festival attracted over 200,000 people. Dedicated to physical fitness and well-being, the festival features the latest information concerning sports, nutrition and fitness activities.

Herbalife Main Stage presented some of the best Master Trainers in Italy for a variety of exciting and energizing workouts. Over 100 Herbalife Distributors provided nearly 100,000 Herbalife and Liftoff™ brochures to thousands of festival participants. Herbalife Marches on at the GezondWandeldag


Herbalife was walking tall as one of the corporate sponsors of the first GezondWandeldag, a special walking event in Belgium. More than 2500 participants, among them 80 Herbalife Distributors, braved the elements to walk in the cold and rainy conditions.

The Herbalife booth was one of the most popular, as thousands of Herbal teas, shakes and protein bars were sampled. Each participant received a Herbalife bag containing leaflets with product and company information.

Many members of the regional media covered the April 30, 2006, event including local newspapers, magazines, and television stations. The GezondWandeldag is destined to become the largest walking event in Belgium, and Herbalife was proud to be there every step of the way.

Herbalife Shares the Spotlight at the Prague International Marathon


An official partner of the Prague International Marathon in May, Herbalife enjoyed tremendous exposure at the event. Presided over by Czech President Vaclav Klaus, the marathon boasted 4,000 participants and tens of thousands of spectators—with Team Herbalife playing a big role on and off the course. Over 230 members of Team Herbalife participated in the run, and several posted impressive times. One Distributor finished in three hours, 28 minutes. The son of another Distributor led the silver-medal team in the Junior School Team Run and was decorated onstage with a Team Herbalife T-shirt.

Meanwhile, Herbalife’s name was featured on banners, flags, a large TV screen in the center of Prague, in the marathon’s official magazine, and by enthusiastic Team Herbalife members at the event sharing thousands of samples of Herbalife products.

Herbalife Finishes First With Sponsorship of Cancun Racing Event


Herbalife is the Official Nutrition Sponsor of Emocion Deportiva Runs Circuit presented by HSBC. Nearly 2,000 sports enthusiasts attended the Expo and the races held on May 26-27. The event included a wide age range of runners from 15 to over 60 participating in 5K and 10K runs. Four Herbalife Distributors proudly participated in the field of over 550 runners.

Excitement and enthusiasm filled the air as Herbalife Distributors met hundreds of people at the Herbalife booth, handing out 1,120 Formula 1 Nutritional Shakes, Herbal Concentrate and NRG tea drinks, along with brochures and great giveaways.

The Herbalife brand was boldly displayed throughout the event from the standout T-shirts and musette bags, to the banners along the race, finish line and winner`s medal stand. Herbalife Makes a Splash in Thailand at the Laguna Phuket Triathlon


Herbalife was the Official Nutrition Sponsor of the Thai Airways International Laguna Phuket Triathlon 2005 in Phuket, Thailand. Considered Southeast Asia’s premier triathlon, the event was held on Sunday, Dec 4, 2005, at the Laguna Phuket resort in Thailand and attracted more than 700 participants from around the world, as well as national and international media coverage.

Herbalife Distributors won silver in the individual amateur women’s 30-34 category and 45-49 category. Herbalife Independent Distributors, employees, friends and families took part as Team Herbalife, either individually or on relay teams.

Along with the triathlon, Team Herbalife participated in a 6K Fun Run, benefiting the Child-Watch Phuket Association, which helps children at risk.

Herbalife’s Competitive Edge at the Troféu Brasil de Triathlon


Herbalife raced toward victory at the Herbalife-sponsored Troféu Brasil de Triathlon. Hundreds of employees and Distributors supported and participated in the event. Herbalife Distributors offered shake tastings and provided Herbalife product kits to professional athletes and elite winners.
